EDWARDSVILLE – The Graduate and Professional Programs Open House at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is the perfect opportunity for individuals interested in furthering their education or advancing their careers to take the next step.

The event will be held on Monday, March 23, from 4-6 p.m. in the Morris University Center’s Legacy Room on the SIUE Edwardsville campus. Representatives from the SIUE Office of Graduate and International Admissions and the Graduate School will be on hand to discuss graduate admissions requirements and how to apply for scholarships and assistantships.

“SIUE offers a wide range of career-oriented graduate programs,” said Jim Monahan, director of the Office of Graduate and International Admissions. “We look forward to connecting with prospective students and highlighting how convenient and affordable our programs can be.”

Guests can learn more about the graduate and professional programs across several academic areas at SIUE, including the College of Arts and Science, School of Business, School of Education, Health and Human Behavior, School of Engineering, School of Nursing, and School of Pharmacy.

Academic program representatives will be available to answer questions and share insights about their programs, research opportunities, and career outcomes.

“Our graduate programs are designed to prepare the next generation of leaders to make a meaningful impact in their professions and communities,” said Christopher Slaten, PhD, associate provost for research and dean of the Graduate School. “We look forward to welcoming new graduate students and supporting their ideas and ambitions through the mentorship, research, and collaboration that are central to the SIUE experience.”

Attendees who apply for an eligible program during the Graduate and Professional Programs Open House will have their $40 application fee waved. Professional programs in pharmacy, nursing, nutrition and dietetics, and speech-language pathology using the Centralized Application System are not eligible for the fee waiver. All attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $500 tuition scholarship for the 2026-27 academic year.
