JACKSONVILLE — Jersey Community High School’s girls track and field team traveled Friday, March 6, 2026, to an indoor invitational at Illinois College, where Morgan Allen broke the school record in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 5.25 inches.

Allen’s record-setting mark came during weekend competition at Illinois College. Her weekend performance also gave her “the highest leap of any other high jumper in Illinois,” according to the provided meet information.

Allen also competed in the 200 meters at Illinois College in the meet, placing eighth.

Earlier in the season, Allen won the high jump on Feb. 21, 2026, clearing 5 feet, 2 inches in a field of 24 athletes.

“Way to go, Morgan!” her coaches said about her weekend performance.
