Raglin won the 60 meters in 7.43 seconds, the 400 in 59.17, and the 200 in 24.75 on a flat track. Anderson said the meet was not scored, but Alton left with multiple top-eight finishes.
Raglin’s 60-meter win came after a shift in the standings the previous week. Raglin had moved to No. 2 after Homewood-Flossmoor runner Marlyah Robinson posted a 7.49 at a SIUC meet to edge Raglin’s 7.52. At the latest meet, Raglin recorded two personal-best times in the 60, running 7.47 and 7.43.
Raglin also ran her first indoor 400, finishing first in 59.1 seconds.
“We took 13 competitors today,” Anderson said. “Although the meet wasn’t scored, we walked away with several top 8 finishes in the 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 4x800m.”
Among other Alton results, freshman Leah Hubbard placed eighth in the 60 in 8.00 and seventh in the 200 in 27.05. Vail Schwaab finished fifth in the 800 in 2:38.18.
“Today was so fun,” Anderson said of the weekend meet.
