ALTON - Lucy Becker drove in five runs on four hits as the Highland Bulldogs rolled past Alton 17-4 on Thursday.

Becker doubled in the fourth inning to score two runs, doubled again in the sixth to score two more and singled in the fifth to drive in another run for Highland.
Highland opened the scoring in the first inning after Addison Short singled to bring home a run. The Bulldogs added three runs in the top of the third on RBI singles by Kamryn Leckrone and Paige Wernle.
Highland broke the game open with five runs on three hits in the fifth inning. Hayden Bruhn doubled to score a run, Holly Sexton drew a bases-loaded walk to force in a run, Becker singled to drive in a run, and Leckrone lined out to bring home two runs.
The Bulldogs added six more runs on five hits in the sixth. Addison Bradford singled to score one, Becker doubled to drive in two, Leckrone drew a walk to force in a run, and Kaylee Knebel singled to score two.
Bruhn earned the win for Highland, allowing five hits and four runs over six innings while striking out three and walking two.
Kynlie Muscatella took the loss for Alton after allowing 17 hits and 17 runs, 16 earned, over six innings, striking out 11 and walking nine.
Highland finished with 17 hits. Short, Maebry Eilers and Leckrone each had multiple hits.
