“With nearly 250 scholarships totaling about $750,000, Lewis and Clark is committed to ensuring that students have the tools to navigate their educational journey,” said Debby Edelman, Director of Development for the Lewis and Clark Community College Foundation.

Nearly half of the awards cover full tuition and fees, removing financial aid barriers.

Students must apply by April 10. The process is easy. Just go to www.lc.edu/scholarships and click “Apply Now.” Using your lc.edu email and password, log in and fill out the application. Dual credit students can access their credentials by contacting the LC Help Desk at helpdesk@lc.edu or 618-468-4357. The auto-match system will automatically pair each student with any and all scholarships for which they are eligible.

Edelman encourages applicants to be bold and detailed in their essay responses regarding goals and financial needs – to help them stand out.

The Scholarship Awarding Committee will review applications and select recipients in late April. Students awarded a scholarship will be notified via email in May. Awards must be accepted promptly.

"We stand for success," said Sharon Roberts, Chair of the Scholarship Awarding Committee. "By providing these funds, we help our students overcome the odds without pause or inhibition.”

The L&C Foundation and Board of Trustees recognize that every student’s path looks different. Scholarships are tailored to celebrate students’ differences, with qualifications ranging from specific programs of study and geographic residence to volunteer activity and non-traditional student status.

“At L&C, we believe every student has the potential to be a scholar,” Edelman said.
