Midwest Members Credit Union Names KayLynn Buttry EAWR’s February Oiler of the Month

WOOD RIVER – Midwest Members Credit Union is proud to sponsor the “Oiler of the Month” program at East Alton-Wood River High School. A senior student is selected each month by members of EAWR faculty. Each student is awarded a certificate and a Subway gift card. The seniors selected each month will have the opportunity to compete for a $1,000.

“Oiler of the Year” scholarship at the end of the school year.

February's winner is KayLynn Buttry. KayLynn is a Senior at EAWR and is involved in Student Council, Spirit Club, Oiler Shine, Senior Mentor, Senior Olympiad, Basketball, Tennis, Track, Softball, Saturday Scholars, Big Sisters, and National Honor Society. KayLynn has received honors in the National Honor Society, Gold Level Renaissance, and Silver Medalion. In KayLynn's spare time, KayLynn volunteers with Big Sister's bake sales, "coaches" for the East Alton Middle School girls Volleyball 7th & 8th grade teams and the 7th and 8th grade girls Basketball teams and works with the booster club concessions.

After graduation, KayLynn is planning on attending Greenville University and while playing Basketball, major in Exercise Science.
