Schroeder, a senior, has played varsity basketball since her freshman year. She received Athlete of the Month recognition in 2025 and 2026. In 2024 and 2025, she was MVC Honorable Mention All Conference and First Team All Conference in 2026.
But basketball isn’t Schroeder’s only passion. She also cares deeply about her academics and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service.
She regularly volunteers at Kirchenfest and as a walking buddy with local kids. She also helps with youth basketball camps.
As a student, Schroeder is a member of the Highland Hooligans pep club and the Leos Club. She also serves as a student ambassador, guiding and advocating for her peers.
Outside of school, she holds down a part-time job and works as a spokesmodel for a local photography company. She loves spending time with her family and friends.
Schroeder has big plans for the future. Just like they do during her games, her teachers and loved ones will be cheering her onto success.
“I plan to study biomedical engineering and continue my basketball career at Missouri University of Science and Technology,” she shared.
Congratulations to Sophie for this recognition by Highland High School and Platinum Transportation!
