For her accomplishments, Keeley Shoemaker is a Student of the Month for Southwestern High School.
Shoemaker, a junior, has played varsity soccer since her freshman year. She also runs cross country and track. She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It takes a lot of dedication to balance school and sports, but Shoemaker does this gracefully.
Her academics are equally important to her. As a member of the Scholar Bowl team and National Honor Society, Shoemaker has maintained a 4.0 GPA and her status on the high honor roll throughout her high school career.
She also participates in the Spanish Club and regularly volunteers with her church. Outside of school, Shoemaker is part of a local 4-H Club and the county 4-H leadership team.
In her limited free time, Shoemaker enjoys reading and being with her family and friends. She is still deciding what she will do after high school, but she has a general plan and many people who will be cheering her on.
“I don't know exactly what I want my major to be yet, but I hope to run in college,” she shared.
Congratulations to Keeley for this recognition from Southwestern High School!
