The event is a non-competitive performance opportunity for college students to share their musical talents on stage. It also looks to encourage students in the area to visit downtown Edwardsville and experience Wildey Theatre.

LC student Vivi Elson created the upcoming showcase as part of an honors project for her speech class.

The showcase will take place on April 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Organizers hope the event will provide an opportunity for college students to share their musical talents as well as a chance to visit a historical site in Wildey Theatre.

All participants in the showcase must be currently enrolled in college. Students from Lewis and Clark and SIUE are encouraged to attend and participate, but students from any surrounding colleges in the area are also welcome.

The evening will look to feature 14 different singers/duets who will sing to tracks or original music, as well as a student emcee.

Tickets will be available the night of the event for $10 and can be purchased on site.
