COLUMBIA — Marquette Catholic battled defending state champion Columbia to a 1-1 girls soccer tie Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Columbia, after Marquette took a first-half lead and Columbia answered with a goal in the second half.

Marquette Catholic opened the scoring in the first half when Izzi Hough scored off an assist from Alex Stephan.

Columbia tied it in the second half on a rebound following a corner kick.

Marquette, which beat the Explorers 2-0 last season, moved to 2-0-1 and will host Father McGivney on Thursday.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Marquette plays at Duchesne with an 11 a.m. start. On Monday, March 30, 2026, Litchfield plays at Marquette.
