The Comets broke a scoreless tie in the third inning, capitalizing on timely hitting and a pair of Oilers errors. Emma Bingham singled to center to start the rally, and Greenville went on to plate three runs in the frame, including an RBI single from Zoee Englert.

Greenville sealed the game with a five-run outburst in the seventh inning. Haylee Clark doubled to drive in a run, Kenzi Stefanisin followed with a two-run single, Clare Glisson tripled home another run, and Jana Glisson added an RBI single to cap the inning.

Kaitlyn Lurkins earned the win in the circle for Greenville, tossing five shutout innings while allowing four hits, striking out seven, and walking none.

Ellie Beachum took the loss for EAWR despite a strong outing, striking out 11 over seven innings. She allowed nine runs, though only five were earned.

Beachum also led the Oilers at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Greenville tallied 12 hits in the game, with Englert, Clare Glisson, Jana Glisson, and Bingham each collecting two hits. Clark led the team with two RBIs.
