The Redbirds' Raglin won the 60 meters in 7.42 seconds after running 7.42 in the preliminaries to qualify for the final, where she “ran the same time to edge out Homewood Flossmoor for the win,” her head coach, Chelsea Anderson, said. Raglin also won the 200 meters in 23.61 seconds. Rayna's 200-meter dash indoor sprint time was the fastest female clocking in Illinois high school history. Rayna has the fastest 60-meter time in Illinois indoors in 2026.
Anderson said Raglin qualified for the 400 but “decided to scratch.”
Coach Anderson also said Raglin set personal and meet records in both winning events. “She told me her goal this season was to break 24, and she did,” Anderson said. “I couldn’t be prouder.”
Coach Anderson said Alton’s girls team will now shift to the outdoor season, beginning Wednesday with the home Frosh/Sophie Relays, followed by a meet on Friday, April 3, 2026, against Belleville West and other competition.
