WOOD RIVER — Lebanon used a six-run first inning and strong pitching from Collin Adams to defeat the East Alton-Wood River Oilers 12-0 on Tuesday at Emerick Sports Complex.

Lebanon took the lead in the top of the first after Adams singled to drive in two runs. Lebanon then added runs on a single that scored one, a lined-out ball that brought home one, a Lance Behlke RBI single and a Garrett Cotts RBI double.
Lebanon extended its advantage in the top of the third with two more runs on RBI singles by Freddy Durbin and No. 24.
Adams earned the win for Lebanon, allowing three hits and no runs over four innings. He struck out nine and walked one.
Kale Carpenter took the loss for East Alton-Wood River. The starter went 1 2/3 innings, allowing nine runs, five earned, on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
Logan Quigley pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief for the Oilers, giving up four hits and three runs, one earned, while striking out five and walking four.
For East Alton-Wood River, Landon Smith, Quigley, Carpenter and Austin Woods each had one hit.
