For his commitment, Tullio Zampieri is a DD Homes Network Student of the Month for Civic Memorial High School.
Zampieri, a senior, has run cross country and track since his freshman year. It takes a lot of hard work to balance sports and school, but he makes this look easy. He is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization.
Zampieri has served on the prom and homecoming committees, as well as the St. Baldrick’s committee. He is also a member of Spanish Club. He enjoys helping his school community.
As a student, Zampieri has maintained impressive grades and was inducted into the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta. These organizations require high grades and many hours of community service. It’s important to Zampieri to give back and help others whenever he can.
Zampieri was recently named an Illinois State Scholar, which puts him at the top of his class. He has also received IHSA All-State Honors in track. These are major accomplishments for a high school student.
In his limited free time, Zampieri enjoys hanging out with his friends, watching movies and playing ping-pong. He knows exactly what he plans to do after graduation. Just like they do during his meets, his teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on.
“[I plan to] attend the University of Indianapolis and study computer science while continuing to run track and cross country,” he shared.
Congratulations to Tullio for this recognition by Civic Memorial High School and the DD Homes Network!
