Ford said Travis served as the field training officer for three new officers during the year and “dedicated himself to their development, mentorship, and success without hesitation.”
“PFC Travis consistently took on back-to-back trainees, maintained thorough and detailed training documentation, and remained open to feedback to improve his craft continually,” Ford said. “He also demonstrated a strong commitment to his own professional growth by attending the 2025 FTO Conference hosted by the Southeastern Field Training Officers’ Association in Chattanooga, Tennessee.”
Ford said the department views field training officers as playing “a vital role in shaping the future of our department.”
“The impact of his efforts is clear — the officers he trained are already earning the respect of their supervisors and serving the community with confidence and professionalism,” Ford said.
