Marquette Catholic Students Perform Classic Peanuts Musical

Marquette Catholic High's theater troupe stages beloved Charlie Brown story, blending humor and heartfelt moments for community audience.

ALTON - Marquette Catholic High School students will bring the “Peanuts” gang to the stage in Alton later this month, presenting “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” April 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and April 19, 2026, at 2 p.m. in Alton, Illinois. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for youth.

The production involves 26 students as actors and crew, according to Madison Foreman, Marquette Catholic High School’s theater and music director.

“At its core, the show is about finding happiness in everyday moments, from flying a kite to losing a baseball game. It’s funny, heartfelt, and a perfect reminder that being 'good' is more than enough,” Foreman said. “Our talented cast and crew have embraced this reminder fully, bringing energy and creativity to the production. I cannot wait for the community to see the hard work the students have put into this show.”

Cast members include Akira Alexander, Josie Anderson, Avery Conrad, Jackson Ellis-Gable, Jacob Feaman, Heidi Kahl, Piper Karrenbrock, Jayden Lederer, Allison Nash, Kaelyn Page, Catherine Pulaski, Noah Rose, Claire Stephens, Annabelle Walters and Ella Walters.

Crew members are William Bridegroom, Leah Brown, Le’Niya Brown, Dylan Diaz, Dakota Nelson, Makenzie Thomas and Kennedy Smith. Annie Van is the stage manager. Choreography has been arranged by Alana Taylor.

Marquette Catholic Principal Timothy Harmon said the production reflects student commitment both onstage and behind the scenes.

“I am incredibly proud of the dedication and talent that will be on display, both on stage and behind the scenes,” Harmon said. “It is always inspiring to see our students step into their roles with such enthusiasm and excitement, and for me personally, I grew up watching Peanuts, so there’s an additional joy that I will have in getting to see our students perform in this show. I am certain that our students will impress us with their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond. I can’t wait for opening night.”

“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (revised)” is a 1967 musical based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schultz. The book, music and lyrics are by Clark Gesner, with additional dialogue by Michael Mayer and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The show is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
