JERSEY 2, CARLINVILLE 0: Jersey scored single runs in the second and sixth innings to take the tight win over Carlinville at home.
Kamryn Drainer had a hit and the game's only RBI for the Panthers, while Anna Kribs and Holly Brainerd had the other hits, and Paxton Weirich went all the way in the circle, fanning 10. Lexi Fenton had two hits for the Cavaliers, while Aleah Boehm had the other hit, and Hallie Gibson also went all the way in the circle, striking out six.
Jersey is now 5-2, while Carlinville slips to 3-3.
ALTON 8, COLLINSVILLE 4: Alton scored once in both the first and fifth innings, and also pushed across six runs in the six runs in the second, to take the win over Collinsville at Redbirds Field.
Both Lily Paalberg and Audrey Lauenstein had a hit and an RBI each for the Kahoks, while both Aubrey Bordoni and Payton Smith had a strikeout each while on the mound.
The Redbirds are now 3-8, while Collinsville is now 2-9.
In the other fixtures on the Thursday slate, Edwardsville won over Granite City 11-1, and Belleville East got by Belleville West 16-0. while several other games --- Columbia at Waterloo, Dupo at Okawville, Red Bud at Steeleville, Hardin Calhoun at Mt. Sterling Brown County, Gillespie at Highland, and Jacksonville Routt Catholic at White Hall North Greene --- were postponed because of rain.

TRIAD 5, MASCOUTAH 0: Averi Moore connected on a brace (two goals), while Sophia Bohnak, Izzy Hancock, and Calleigh Hart also scored in Triad's win over Mascoutah at Knights Field.
Payton Hartmann had two saves in goal to record the clean sheet for the Knights, who are now 3-2-2, while the Indians go to 1-6-0.
In other matches played on Thursday, Columbia defeated East Alton-Wood River 13-0, Waterloo shut out Jersey 6-0, Belleville Althoff Catholic slipped by Marquette Catholic 1-0, Breese Mater Dei Catholic and Freeburg played to a 2-2 draw, and O'Fallon nipped Granite City 1-0.
