ST. LOUIS COUNTY - St. Louis County Police are investigating a wrong-way, head-on crash late Friday, April 3, 2026, on Lewis & Clark Boulevard near Highway 67 that killed a 23-year-old woman and injured four others. Detectives are asking witnesses to come forward.

The crash happened at 10:44 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the northbound lanes of Lewis & Clark Boulevard near Highway 67 in St. Louis County, Missouri, according to St. Louis Police.
Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s North County Precinct responded to a call for a motor vehicle crash and found a black Kia Forte and a silver Mercury Grand Marquis with multiple victims, police said.
A preliminary investigation indicates the Kia was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Lewis & Clark Boulevard when it collided head-on with the Mercury, which was traveling northbound, police said.
The driver of the Mercury, a 23-year-old adult female, died at the scene, police said.
Three passengers in the Mercury were injured. A 23-year-old adult male and a 27-year-old adult female were taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said. A 22-year-old adult female was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Kia, an adult female, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
“Several motorists were in the area when the crash occurred,” the release said. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call 314-615-5400 to speak with investigators.
Police said the investigation is active and preliminary details may change.
