Detectives Investigate Double Homicide

ST. LOUIS COUNTY - St. Louis County Police detectives are investigating a double homicide after two adult men were found fatally shot late Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue in the City of Country Club Hills.

Officers from the City of Country Club Hills responded at 10:25 p.m. April 9, 2026, to a call for service reporting a shooting in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue, according to the St. Louis County Police Department.

Officers located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot injuries, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects are currently in custody, police said.

The City of Country Club Hills requested that detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons assume responsibility for the investigation.

“This is an active investigation, and preliminary details could change,” the department said. “Additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available.”
