Benz reflected on her school experience, saying she did not have a single favorite subject in high school but did have “favorite teachers — including Mr. Roth.”
Benz also shared a detail she said students might find surprising: “I can officially say that I attended Duke University to study math. (It was technically only for a week, but it was an honor to be selected for the program.)
Her advice to students was direct: “Choose kindness. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.”
Benz said her favorite part of being an assistant principal is helping others.
“Whether it's teachers, students, parents, or subs, I always work my hardest to give them my best every day,” she said.
Jersey Community School District thanked Benz “for being a wonderful leader and mentor to your Panthers.”
