From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, and May 2 and 3, 2026, community members can stop by the farm at 22935 Chautauqua Road in Elsah. Owner Amy Cloud noted that they have plenty of "tried and true varieties” as well as a few new plants for customers to try. She believes the sale is a great chance to engage with a local farm, build community, and prepare for the gardening season.

“It’s as local as local can get,” Cloud said. “This is our 20th season, so we know how to grow plants and farm. These plants are really well-taken-care-of. We just have a great, loyal following of customers that come back year after year because their plants do so well in their garden.”

3 Rivers Farm is known for their work in Elsah and beyond. They vend at the Tower Grove Farmers Market and currently offer a subscription service for produce every summer, in addition to their annual plant sale and other events. They have a farm stand that opens once a month throughout the summer.

Cloud noted that the first Saturday of the plant sale is usually the most popular. There are several other events happening in Grafton that day; she encourages people to “make a day of it.”

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, people can enjoy a few vendors, including Lighthouse Coffee, Faith & Flour pastries, and D&M pasture-raised meats, in addition to the plant sale. 3 Rivers Farm will also sell their Dairy Doo compost and potting soil mix.

No matter what day you attend the sale, you can find plenty of flowers, vegetable starts, and “unique” herbs. Cloud pointed out that all of these plants do well at their farm, so they’re “tried and true in our climate” and have proven to be “good producers.”

She believes the plants are competitively priced but taken care of by a “master gardener,” so they’re in better condition than those you might find at a big box store. Additionally, Cloud and the 3 Rivers Farm team will be on-hand to answer questions and chat with customers about the plants.

“People who love plants are a passionate, energetic group,” Cloud said. “It’s just fun to talk with them and see what they love and what they're curious about and try and help them maybe try a new variety of something. Gardening has a little bit of mystery in it, so it brings people together. There's always good conversation.”

Cloud looks forward to the plant sale and hopes to welcome many people out to the farm to see everything they have to offer. She encourages people to visit their official Facebook page or check out their official website for more information.

“You have an opportunity to walk our fields and see what we have growing out in the fields,” she added. “It's worth the drive out. It's fun.”
