Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is a medication that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. With opioid-related emergencies continuing to impact communities across the country, having immediate access to Narcan can mean the difference between life and death.

The newly installed box is located at Grove Memorial Park in Grafton, a central and easily accessible area for community members. The box is stocked regularly and designed to be simple and discreet, allowing individuals to take what they need safely and confidently.

“This is about saving lives and supporting our community,” said Rachel. “By making Narcan available 24/7, we are empowering people to respond in an emergency and helping reduce the stigma around substance use.”

This effort is part of a broader commitment to harm reduction — an approach focused on meeting people where they are, reducing risks, and connecting individuals to support and recovery resources when they are ready.

Community members are encouraged to learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to administer Narcan. Free training opportunities and additional resources are available through the Jersey County ROSC.

Together, we can create a safer, more supportive community — because every life matters.
