Pitcher Sydney Timpe Strikes Out 14: Josie Hagen Leads Southwestern To Win In Four-Hit Performance

ALTON - Southwestern used a 12-hit attack to defeat Marquette Catholic girls softball 16-2 on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Gordon Moore Park in Alton.

Josie Hagen delivered four hits for Southwestern to lead the hitting stats. Sydney Timpe was magnificent on the mound and struck out 14 in the complete game for the Piasa Birds and allowed just six hits.

Vivian Zurheide and Samatha Stormer had two hits for the Piasa Birds. Hannah Mary, Maddie Pruitt, and Maci Timpe each had a single hit.

Jayla Dickson had three hits to lead Marquette; Bella Johnson, Nylah McDonald, and Lucy LaFlore each added a single hit.
