ALTON - Graceful Treasures will kick off their flea market season this weekend.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, community members can stop by the warehouse at Milton Schoolhouse for a flea market sponsored by the vintage store Graceful Treasures. Owner Kimberly Grace encourages everyone to come out and see what the market has to offer.
“It is an actual, good old-fashioned flea market where there’s rusty, crusty, old, all the way to newer home decor,” Grace said. “There’s always something that you can find.”
The flea market will continue throughout the year until November, with a full schedule available on the Graceful Treasures Facebook page. There are around 30 vendors who will be at the April 18 fair, and Grace is taking vendor applications for the remaining fairs.
Grace noted that the flea market and the Graceful Treasures shop are both focused on vintage, antique items, not crafts. She has about 23 vendors in her shop at Milton at all times, and they offer a variety of goods.
“I just roll with it. I try to keep it as vintage as possible,” she explained. “When somebody approaches me about being a vendor, the first thing is, what do you sell?”
Grace does what she can to support her vendors at the flea market and the shop. She always has new items in her shop, and she hopes many people come out to the flea market to see everything they have to offer.
“I want everybody to make money. That’s my thing. Help me help you sell your stuff,” she said. “I’m all about everybody making a dollar. It’s exciting to see the vendors actually make money. I’ve got a couple of them that did very, very well last year.”
As a shop, Grace ships all over the United States. She regularly posts items on the shop’s Facebook page, and people can message her to ask about shipping. If you are local, she typically holds the item for one business day until you can come pick it up.
People are also always welcome to stop by the store and browse. This August will mark the four-year anniversary of Graceful Treasures, and Grace is excited to celebrate.
She noted that the store and the flea market will have everything from trendy vintage pieces to unique finds. She can’t wait to welcome the community and see what people fall in love with.
“There is no rhyme or reason to what people purchase,” she said. “They could be strolling through just to take a look and maybe buy an old picture or something, and end up leaving with an armful.”
