School District Responds Promptly To Teacher-Related Issue At Calhoun Middle School

HARDIN - Calhoun School District No. 40 has opened an investigation into a Calhoun Middle School teacher after an issue involving the employee was recently brought to the district’s attention, Superintendent Lori Young said.

“There was an issue brought recently to the Calhoun School District No. 40's attention on an employee, then we started the investigation process as soon as the concern was brought to our attention,” Superintendent Young said.

Young said the teacher has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues.

“The teacher has been on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation,” she said, adding that the “investigation is still in process.”

Young added that the employee was a junior high physical education teacher. She also said the individual resigned for the next school year, and the date of the resignation is effective May 22, 2026.

Young did not provide additional details about the issue or the investigation.
