Wednesday starts sunny and quiet, with temperatures in the upper 50s early and a light west-southwest breeze. It is a comfortable start, although it feels a little warmer than the thermometer, closer to the low 60s.

By afternoon, the sun stays in control and the day turns very warm. Expect a high near 79 with mostly sunny skies, a west-southwest wind around 10 to 12 mph and gusts up to about 22 mph. Rain chances stay very low at just 3%, so outdoor plans should be in good shape.

During the evening, temperatures ease back through the 70s under a mostly clear sky. The breeze settles down, making for a calm and pleasant stretch after sunset.

Overnight, the sky stays mainly clear as temperatures fall to about 56 by early Thursday. Winds turn lighter from the south-southwest, and rain chances remain near zero.

The allergy index may be the one part of the forecast that is not so friendly. Tree pollen is very high today, while grass, mold and ragweed stay low.

Thursday looks warmer, with a high near 82 and a low around 62. Expect a partly sunny, breezy day overall, with dry weather through daylight hours before rain and a possible late-night thunderstorm move in.
