PIASA - Alexis Partney is a dedicated student.
For her hard work, Alexis Partney is a Student of the Month for Southwestern High School.
Partney, a student, has played soccer since her freshman year. She also recently started playing on the golf team, which has been a lot of fun. It takes responsibility and commitment to balance academics and athletics, but Partney makes this look easy.
She is also a member of the school’s band program. She enjoys playing her instrument and working alongside her peers to put on a great show. When she isn’t playing in the band, she is performing with the colorguard team.
Partney also participated on the scholar bowl team for three years. Outside of school, she has a summer job and often helps her mother with landscaping gigs.
She enjoys “anything with art” as well as reading and taking naps in her free time. She knows what she wants to do after graduation, and she has already taken steps to secure these future plans. Her teachers and loved ones can’t wait to see her succeed.
“[I plan to attend] Lewis and Clark Community College to become a special education teacher,” she shared. “I go down to the elementary school on Wednesdays and observe. It’s created a fulfilled heart for me and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. My hard work paid off to allow me to do this.”
Congratulations to Alexis for this recognition from Southwestern High School!
