The entire high school sporting schedule was postponed on Monday, April 27, 2026, because of the rain, storms, and tornado warnings that passed through the St. Louis area on Monday. Make-up dates for the games have not yet been announced.

The games that were rained out were:

In a girls soccer match played on Friday:

ORCHARD FARM, MO. 2, COLLINSVILLE 1: Ryelan Judiscak scored the only goal for Collinsville In their loss to Orchard Farm of St. Charles County Friday night at Kahok Stadium.

Paige Bohnemeier made seven saves in goal for the Kahoks, who are now 10-5-0, while the Eagles are now 9-0-1.

SATURDAY, APRIL 25 PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

FRANKLIN SOUTH COUNTY 2-6, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 1-0: In the opening game of a doubleheader at Southwestern, in a game that lasted only four innings, South County scored both of their runs in the first inning, and made them stand up to win over the Piasa Birds, then in the nightcap, scored five runs in the first, and one in the seventh, to sweep Southwestern.

In the first game, John Kunz had two hits for the Birds, while Gage Campbell struck out two on the mound. In the second game, Colton Huber and Carter Bacon had the hits for Southwestern, while both Kunz and Bacon fanned two each on the mound.

JERSEY 14, CARROLLTON 3: Jersey scored single runs in the first and third, two runs in the second and fourth, and added eight runs in the sixth to win at Carrollton.

Brody Short had three hits for the Panthers, while John Kodros struck out two while on the mound. Carson Flowers had three hits and an RBI for the Hawks, while Brady Clendenen struck out one.

Jersey is now 13-8, while Carrollton goes to 10-6.

BREESE MATER DEI CATHOLIC 7, MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 6 (8 INNINGS): Mater Dei held a 4-1 lead on Marquette after four innings, then the Explorers scored five runs in the fifth to go ahead 6-4, but the Knights scored twice in the sixth to force extra innings, and scored the winning run in the eighth to take the win at home.

Keller Jacobs had three hits for Marquette, while Joe Stephan had two hits and three RBIs. Jacobs also struck out two while on the mound.

Mater Dei is now 7-11, while the Explorers go to 7-10.

CALHOUN 18, METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 1: Calhoun scored five runs in the first, 11 in the second, and two in the fourth to take the win over Metro-East at Martin Luther Field.

Earl Elmore had four hits and four RBIs for the Warriors, while Abner Hiller went all the way on the mound, striking out three. Matthew Barber had two hits for the Knights, while Sammy Huber fanned two on the mound.

Calhoun is now 8-6, while Metro-East goes to 6-8.

In other games played on Saturday, Trenton Wesclin won over Valmeyer 10-4, Freeburg defeated Teutopolis 2-0, then in the second game of a cluster, won over Waterloo Gibault Catholic 9-0, then the Hawks lost to the Wooden Shoes 4-0, Edwardsville won over Parkway South 9-3, and Mascoutah shut out Salem 14-0.

BOYS LACROSSE

In the only game played on Saturday, Houston of Germantown, Tenn. won over Edwardsville 9-8.

GIRLS SOCCER

ROXANA 3, SALEM 2: Sophia Powers, Gianna Stassi, and Karsyn Kamp all scored as Roxana turned back Salem at Norman Lewis Field.

Sidney Ufert made seven saves in goal for the Shells, who are now 5-8-0, while the Wildcats are now 8-8-0.

In the only other game on Saturday, Freeburg won over Trenton Wesclin 3-1.

SOFTBALL

WILLIAMSVILLE 7, CARROLLTON 0: In a game played on Friday in Carrollton, Williamsville scored four runs in the fourth, twice in the fifth, and once in the seventh to win over the Hawks.

Blake Driskill had two hits for Carrollton, while Brookelynn Eilerman had the other hit. Kadyn Lake struck out two while inside the circle.

The Bullets are now 17-5, while the Hawks slip to 14-10-1.

CALHOUN 6, MT. STERLING BROWN COUNTY 1: In another game played on Friday, the two teams traded runs in the fourth, but Calhoun scored twice in the fifth and three times in the sixth to win at Brown County.

Conley Klocke had two hits and an RBI for the Warriors, while Riley Pohlman struck out seven while in the circle.

Calhoun is now 8-8, while the Hornets slide to 8-6.

PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 21, VIRDEN NORTH MAC 1: In another game played on Friday in Virden, Southwestern scored once in the first, nine in both the second and third, and once more in the fourth to take the win over North Mac.

Hannah Mary had four hits and four RBIs for the Piasa Birds, while Samantha Stormer had three hits and an RBI, and Josie Hagen had two hits, including a home run, and five RBIs. Sydney Timpe struck out five in going all the way inside the circle.

Southwestern is now 11-7, while the Panthers are now 0-12.

BELLEVILLE EAST 12-16, JERSEY 0-5: In a doubleheader played at Jersey, East scored five runs in the first, two each in the second and fifth, and three in the third to win the first game, then in the nightcap, after trading runs in the first, East scored twice in the second, but Jersey scored four in the second to go up 5-3. The Lancers then scored four in both the third and fourth, and five in the fifth, to win the second game and earn the sweep.

In the opener, Anna Kribs, Paxton Weirich, Marley Cazier, and Holly Brainerd had the hits for the Panthers, while Jena Pegram struck out five in the circle. In the second game, Maleah Derrick had two hits and an RBI for Jersey, while Weirich fanned two in the circle.

East is now 20-6, while the Panthers are now 11-6.

In other games played on Saturday, Edwardsville saw their 13-game winning streak broken by East Moline United 7-2, but bounced back to outlast Bradley-Bourbonnais 20-17, Red Bud won over Anna-Jonesboro 4-0, Windsor won over Freeburg 6-0, Marion won over Mascoutah 6-3, and Franklin South County won over White Hall North Greene 7-5.

FRIDAY, APRIL 24 PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

A number of games on the Friday schedule were postponed due to morning and early afternoon rain and storms that passed through the area. The games that were called off include:

In games that were played on Friday:

CIVIC MEMORIAL 6, GRANITE CITY 3: CM scored three runs in both the first and sixth innings in going to the win over Granite City at Babe Champion Field.

Dane Godar had three hits for the Eagles, while Brady Hasenjaeger struck out five on the mound. Darin Brown came up with two hits and an RBI for the Warriors, while Tucker Kolb fanned three on the mound.

CM is now 13-8, while Granite is now 8-9.

JERSEY 2, PITTSFIELD 0: Jersey scored single runs in the first and fourth, and made them stand up in taking the win over visiting Pittsfield.

Graham Vanausdoll had two hits and an RBI for the Panthers, while Jude Jones struck out five on the mound.

Jersey is now 12-5, while the Saukees fall to 12-8.

In other games played on Friday, Salem won over Breese Mater Dei Catholic 9-0, Morrisonville won over Greenfield Northwestern 10-0, McCracken County of Paducah, Ky. nipped Edwardsville 4-3, and East St. Louis defeated Cardinal Ritter College Prep Catholic of St. Louis 7-0.

GIRLS SOCCER

In the four matches played on Friday, East Alton-Wood River defeated McCluer North of Florissant, Mo. 6-1, and Belleville West played a 0-0 draw with Chatham Glenwood, Father McGivney Catholic won at Freeburg 5-0, and Marquette Catholic won the Riverbend Derby over Alton 4-1.

SOFTBALL

In the rain-affected schedule on Friday, Civic Memorial won a rain-shortened game over Alton 3-1, Mascoutah edged Belleville West 5-4, Greenville defeated Breese Central 10-1, in a tournament at Bradley-Bourbonnais, Edwardsville scored in the home half of the seventh to defeat Rock Island 6-5, and Steeleville got past New Athens 6-5. Two other games --- East Alton-Wood River at Maryville Christian, and Waterloo Gibault Catholic at Columbia --- were postponed because of rain. No make-up dates have been announced as of yet.

THURSDAY, APRIL 23 PLAY IT AGAIN GIRLS SPORTS ROUNDUP

LACROSSE

In the only game involving an area team, Belleville West took a 12-9 win at Kirkwood, Mo. in St. Louis County.

SOCCER

BREESE CENTRAL 2, ROXANA 1: Gianna Stassi had the only goal of the game for Roxana in their loss to Central at Norman Lewis Field.

Sidney Ufert made 13 saves in goal for the Shells.

TRIAD 9, HIGHLAND 0: Harper Dinsmore came up with a brace (two goals), while Karlee Switzer, London Looby, Juliette Duff, Izzy Hancock, Shirley Wilder, Mackenzie McMillan, and Stella Yank all scored as Triad won their Northeastern Madison County Derby match at Highland.

Lauren Koberna had only one save in goal for the Knight to record the clean sheet.

Triad is now 8-3-2, while the Bulldogs go to 10-9-0.

FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 7, MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN 0: Both Erin Kretzer and Emerson Isringhausen had braces (two goals each), while Kinley Dettmers, Sofia Rossetto, and Emerson McGaughey also scored in McGivney's win over Maryville at Bouse Road.

Peyton Ellis only had to make one save in goal in sharing the clean sheet with Addison Ronk in goal for the Griffins, who are now 13-1-1, while the Lions go to 5-7-1.

In other games played on Thursday, Edwardsville won at Granite City 3-1, O'Fallon toppled Columbia 4-0, Belleville Althoff Catholic won over Metro-East Lutheran 7-0, Mascoutah won over Jersey 7-0, and Collinsville defeated Breese Mater Dei Catholic 4-1.

SOFTBALL

SPRINGFIELD SACRED HEART-GRIFFIN CATHOLIC 16, CARLINVILLE 1: SH-G scored once in the first, 12 times in the second, and three in the third to take the win over visiting Carlinville.

Lexi Fenton had both of the hits for the Cavaliers, while both Molly Carriker and Hallie Gibson struck out two each in the circle.

The Cyclones are now 15-2, while Carlinville is now 6-11.

BREESE CENTRAL 4, ROXANA 3 (8 INNINGS): Central took the lead with three runs in the first, but Roxana fought back to score single runs in the first and second, then tied the game in the bottom of the seventh with a run to force extra innings. The Cougars scored the winning run in the top of the eighth to win at Roxana City Park.

Madison John and Lilli Ray both had two hits each for the Shells, while Kassidy Schuyler went all the way in the circle, striking out three

Central is now 12-9, while Roxana goes to 12-5.

CALHOUN 12, CARROLLTON 2: Calhoun broke open a scoreless game with eight runs in the fifth, then added three in the sixth and one in the seventh to capture their rivalry game at Carrollton.

Carly Pohlman had two hits and two RBIs for the Warriors, while Annabel Eilerman went all the way in the circle, striking out seven. Courtney Waldheuser had three hits for the Hawks, while Brookelynn Eilerman fanned seven in the circle.

Calhoun is now 7-8, while Carrollton goes to 14-9-1.

COLUMBIA 16, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 0: Columbia scored once in the first and third, nine in the second, three in the fourth, and twice in the fifth to take the win over EAWR at Leroy Emerick Field.

Emily Fry, Rylee Fogarty, Ellie Beechum, and Madelyn Stone all had the hits for the Oilers, while Liberty Fry fanned one in the circle.

The Eagles are now 12-7, while EAWR is now 5-12.

COLLINSVILLE 20, GRANITE CITY 6: Collinsville broke out to an early 9-0 lead with three runs in each of the first three innings, then scored a single run in the fifth and 10 in the seventh to take their second win of the year over Granite City at the Nelson Hagnauer Sports Complex.

Aubrey Bordoni had three hits, including a homer, and four RBIs for the Kahoks, while Makenna Trice also had three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs. Lilly Paalberg had two hits, along with a home run, and two RBIs, and Bordoni went all the way in the circle, fanning 13. Alexis Ruiz had a hit and two RBIs for the Warriors, while Chloe Randolph struck out five in the circle.

Collinsville is now 4-15, while Granite is now 2-15.

In other area games on Thursday, Belleville Althoff Catholic outlasted Maryville Christian 27-21, Dupo won over New Athens 8-5, Red Bud shut out Carlyle 5-0, and Mascoutah won over Alton 12-2.

THURSDAY, APRIL 23 PLAY IT AGAIN BOYS SPORTS ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

CARROLLTON 10, CALHOUN 3: Carrollton scored five runs in the second, three in the third, and two more in the fifth to take their rivalry game over Calhoun at home.

Jayce Steinkuhler had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs for the Hawks, while Eli Cox struck out six while on the mound. Both Earl Elmore and Selby Pohlman had two hits each for the Warriors, while Jack Goode fanned two on the mound.

Carrollton is now 10-5, while Calhoun goes to 7-6.

COLLINSVILLE 17, EAST ST. LOUIS 1: Collinsville scored three runs in the first inning, then seven times in both the second and fourth to take the win over East St. Louis at Fletcher Field in Woodland Park.

Carson Parill had two hits and two RBIs for the Kahoks, while Mason Ponder struck out five while on the mound.

Collinsville is now 9-9, while the Flyers slip to 3-8.

COLUMBIA 26, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 0: Columbia scored 22 runs in the opening inning, then scored four more times in the third to take the win over EAWR at Norris Dorsey Field.

Landon Smith had the only hit of the game for the Oilers, while Keaton Magurany struck out one on the mound.

The Eagles are now 8-9, while EAWR is now 1-13.

CBC 8, TRIAD 1: CBC scored single runs in the first and fourth, holding a 2-1 lead over visiting Triad, then broke the game open with a six-run sixth inning to take the win in Town and Country, Mo., in west St. Louis County.

Braxton Yates had two hits for the Knights, while Nolan Keller had the other hit. Brody Hasquin struck out one while on the mound.

The Cadets are now 12-11-1, while Triad is now 15-4.

ROXANA 6, BREESE CENTRAL 3: Roxana scored twice in the fourth and four times in the fifth to take the win over Central at Roxana City Park.

Both Lyndon Theis and Nick Miles had two hits and an RBI each for the Shells, while Mason Crump struck out five on the mound.

Roxana is now 13-4, while the Cougars skid to 17-4.

In other games played on Thursday, Highland got past Greenville 10-9, O'Fallon won over Belleville East 8-2, Springfield Lutheran defeated Bunker Hill 21-1, Maryville Christian got past Belleville Althoff Catholic 5-3, Red Bud got past Carlyle 9-6, Edwardsville won a thriller over Belleville West 2-1, Trenton Wesclin shut out Okawville 11-0, Valmeyer won over Marissa-Coulterville 11-4, and Winchester West Central won over Greenfield Northwestern 6-1.

VOLLEYBALL

In the two area matches played on Thursday, Edwardsville swept Maryville Christian 25-15, 25-23, and Belleville West won over Belleville Althoff Catholic 27-25, 25-17/
