The High School League, hosted at Edwardsville Gun Club, has grown since launching in 2015 and now regularly fills the club each week with athletes and supporters from across the region. Over the eight-week season, hundreds of athletes from multiple schools compete weekly in team-based trap shooting.

Triad fielded six teams this spring: Gold Rush, Orange Crush, and Red Knights in the Chippers Division, and Black Knights, Red Storm, and Black Storm in the Dusters Division.

Triad athletes also received individual recognition during the league awards ceremony. Camden Geiler was named Triad’s top male shooter, and Kailynn Lanahan was honored as Triad’s top female shooter for the 2026 spring season.

Coaches credited the season’s results to athletes’ commitment, along with support from families, volunteers and the Edwardsville Gun Club staff who help run league nights each week.

With the spring season ending at the annual shoot-off, preparations for the fall league season are expected to begin later this summer. Students interested in joining the Triad High School Trap Team can contact https://www.facebook.com/TriadTrapTeam/ for more information.
