ROXANA 8, TRENTON WESCLIN 0: Roxana scored once in the first, four times in the fourth, and three more times in the sixth to shut out Wesclin at Roxana City Park.
Nick Miles had three hits and an RBI for the Shells, while Dalton Carriker struck out nine on the mound.
Roxana is now 18-6, while the Warriors go to 11-15,
TRIAD 11, MASCOUTAH 1: Triad scored four runs in the first, one run in the third and six runs in the fifth to clinch the final Mississippi Valley Conference baseball title over Mascoutah at Veterans Park.
Both Nolan Keller and Keegan Seipp had two hits and two RBIs for the Knights, with Kody Anderson striking out three on the mound.
Triad is now 24-5, while the Indians go to 22-5.
PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 5, CARLINVILLE 0: Southwestern scored single runs in the third, sixth, and seventh, along with two runs in the fifth to win the South Central Conference game at Loveless Park.
Reed Campbell had a hit and three RBIs for the Piasa Birds, and also went all the way on the mound, fanning seven. Both Colin McKinney and Paxton Walch had two hits each for the Cavaliers, while Ian Ronald struck out 11 on the mound.
Southwestern is now 8-22, while Carlinville goes to 6-15.
FREEBURG 9, GRANITE CITY 1: Freeburg scored four runs in both the first and second, along with a single run in the sixth, to take the win over Granite City at Babe Champion Field.
Evan Brewer had both of the hits for the Warriors, while Ben Wilson drove in the only run. Brewer also struck out four while on the mound.
The Midgets are now 22-7, while Granite goes to 13-11.
WATERLOO 16, JERSEY 2: Waterloo scored twice in the second, six times in the third, and eight times in the sixth to take the MVC win at Jersey
Brady Maxeiner had three hits and an RBI for the Panthers, while Hayden LaPlant struck out three on the mound.
The Bulldogs are now 17-6, while Jersey goes to 16-10.
HIGHLAND 9, CIVIC MEMORIAL 4: Highland scored twice in both the first and third, then added five more runs in the sixth to take the win over CM at Glik Park.
Hudson Wesley had two hits and two RBIs for the Eagles, while Brady Hasenjaeger struck out one on the mound.
The Bulldogs are now 10-20, while CM is now 15-14.
In other games played on Wednesday, Springfield Lutheran won over White Hall North Greene 20-5, Belleville West nipped Chatham Glenwood 2-1, Columbia scored three runs in the seventh to win over Edwardsville 10-9, Staunton won over Greenfield Northwestern 11-2, Louisville North Clay stopped Breese Mater Dei Catholic 10-0, and Waterloo Gibault Catholic topped Carlyle 7-2.

In a match played at Granite City's tennis center, Collinsville won over the host Warriors 3-2.

In the only area match played on Wednesday, Father McGivney Catholic won at Bunker Hill 25-14, 25-17.

CARLINVILLE 9, FRANKLIN SOUTH COUNTY 5: Carlinville scored once in the second, five times in the sixth, and three more times in the seventh to hold off South County on the road.
Noah Convery had three hits and two RBIs for the Cavaliers, while Gus Gibbs struck out four on the mound.
Carlinville is now 6-14, while the Vipers slide to 17-9.
ROXANA 12, GILLESPIE 8: Roxana scored once in the first and the fifth, four runs in the second and seventh, and twice in the fourth to take the road win at Gillespie.
Max Autery had three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs for the Shells, while Brad Herrin struck out seven while on the mound.
Roxana is now 17-6 with the Miners falling to 14-7-1.
FREEBURG 12, MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 2: Freeburg came up with two runs in both the first and third innings, three runs in the second, and five runs in the sixth to turn back Marquette at home.
Eli Rodgers, Jack Rea, Keller Jacobs, Carson Bauer, and Joe Stephan had the five hits for the Explorers, while Tony Matthews fanned three on the mound.
The Midgets are now 21-7, while Marquette goes to 10-14.
ALTON 4, BELLEVILLE EAST 0: Alton scored twice in the first, and single runs in the third and seventh to take the win at East.
Both Alex Pilger and Donovan Ducey had two hits and an RBI each for the Redbirds, while Anderson Kaufmann struck out 10 on the mound.
Alton improves to 14-14, while the Lancers are now 10-17-1.
PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 18, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 1: Southwestern scored three runs in the first, two in the second, seven in the third, and six in the fourth to win over EAWR at Norris Dorsey Field.
Carter Bacon had three hits and three RBIs for the Piasa Birds, while Blake Rimbey had three hits and two RBIs. Colton Huber struck out four while on the mound. Cannan Cook and Jackson Buerke had the hits for the Oilers, while Austin Woods drove in the only run. Kale Carpenter had two strikeouts while on the mound.
Southwestern is now 7-22, while EAWR is now 1-19.
RED BUD 7, METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 2: After spotting Metro-East a 1-0 lead in the first, Red Bud scored once in the second and fifth, three times in the third, and twice in the seventh to take the win at Martin Luther Field.
Sammy Huber had a hit and RBI for the Knights, while Cooper Italiano struck out four on the mound.
The Musketeers are now 16-8, while Metro-East is now 8-12.

In Tuesday's only game played in the area. John Burroughs of Ladue, Mo. defeated Edwardsville 12-6.

In the results of Tuesday's matches, Belleville West defeated Alton 25-17, 25-11, Edwardsville won over Collinsville 25-13, 25-21, O'Fallon swept Belleville East 25-20, 25-16, and Granite City defeated Metro-East Lutheran 25-21, 25-16.
