A former standout student-athlete at Edwardsville High School, Thomas has gone on to establish himself as a respected attorney, entrepreneur, and community advocate. Throughout his legal career, he has passionately represented individuals and families impacted by asbestos exposure and personal injury, fighting for justice on behalf of working men and women across the nation.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Thomas has remained deeply committed to the Metro East community. Through innovative athletic and recreational development initiatives, he continues creating opportunities that positively impact youth, families, and future generations.

“Mark Thomas represents the very essence of servant leadership,” said Dr. Traci S. Daniels, President of the Edwardsville NAACP Branch. “His unwavering dedication to justice, community advancement, and creating pathways for others makes him exceptionally deserving of this honor.”

The Edwardsville NAACP Branch invites community members, supporters, and partners to join in celebrating Thomas and the many individuals and organizations being recognized during this year’s Freedom Fund Banquet.
