

JERSEYVILLE - Jersey Community Unit School's Bradley Tueth and Colby Goetten qualified for the IHSA State Meet at the Triad IHSA Class 2A Sectional on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The state meet is next weekend in Charleston.

Tueth advanced in the 200 meters and 400 meters, while Goetten moved on in pole vault, according to information posted by the district.

Tueth, a junior, ran 22.40 seconds in the 200 meters to finish just behind Jovonis Lunford of Springfield Sacred-Heart Griffin, who posted a time of 22.37. Tueth won the 400 meters in 49.45.
Goetten placed fifth in pole vault at 3.88 meters.
Jersey finished ninth in the sectional meet with 30.5 points.
Other Jersey performances at the sectional included Cameron Judkins finishing 10th in the 100 meters in 11.09 and fifth in the 200 meters in 22.54. Kristopher Turnbaugh placed eighth in the 800 meters in 2:03.64, and teammate Matthew Bishop was ninth in 2:03.64. Jersey finished sixth in the 4x100 relay in 43.70.
