ALTON - Marquette Catholic's girls soccer squad captured its eighth straight regional title with a 6-0 shutout of Roxana on Friday night, May 22, 2026, at Public School Stadium in Alton.

This was Marquette's 18th girls' regional soccer championship win.

Jessica Eales was in goal for the Explorers and posted the shutout.

Izzy Hough scored the Explorers' first goal at 31:26 in the first half with an assist from Alex Stephan.

The remainder of Marquette's scoring was as follows:

Alivia Noss, from Emily Hough, 22:20, first half.

Maddie Waters from Emma Dempsey 36:20, second half.

Alex Stephan from Emily Hough 22:00, second half.

Marquette Catholic plays at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Litchfield Sectional.

Marquette is 14-4-3 overall on the season after the victory over Roxana.
