Triad Bats Erupt Late To Secure Sectional Baseball Triumph Over Mascoutah

After a brief 2-2 deadlock, Triad erupted for eight unanswered runs to secure a dominant postseason victory. Seipp and Keller club three hits each for Triad.

TROY, Ill. — After the game was tied 2-2 early, Triad broke it open with eight unanswered runs and defeated Mascoutah 10-2 in super-sectional play to improve to 31-5.

Kannon Seipp and Nolan Keller each had three hits for Triad, with Seipp driving in four runs. Kade Rocca added two hits and three RBIs, while Nathan Klucker and Maddux Hunt each had a single hit.

Keller also went the distance on the mound, throwing seven innings. He allowed six hits and struck out eight.

Nathan Walker had two hits for Mascoutah.

With the win, Triad advances to face Normal (University) on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Decatur Millikin University.
