Tom Lane State Farm Insurance Female Athletes Of Month: Civic Memorial Lands Two on All MVC First Team

BETHALTO - Civic Memorial placed two players on the first team of its All-Mississippi Valley Conference girls soccer selections, led by senior Delaney Griffin and sophomore Landree Wallace after a season that also included a CM regional championship and a sectional semifinal appearance.

Griffin and Wallace were named first-team all-conference for Civic Memorial.

Griffin closed her outstanding CM girls soccer career with several strong outings in spring 2026, including a three-goal performance in a 5-2 win over Highland on May 11, 2026, in a key conference victory.

Wallace had a five-goal game in a 7-1 home win over Carlinville on April 3, 2026, and will return with high expectations for the Eagles in 2027.

Civic Memorial also had three second-team all-conference selections: freshman Allie Kamp, sophomore Abby Brueckner and junior Sara Aiello.

Honorable mention picks were sophomore Gabrielle Hartsock and freshman Bryleigh Marshall.
