EDWARDSVILLE - A female driver was taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, on Center Grove Road near Tiger Drive, where police said witnesses reported seeing her black Ford passenger vehicle swerving before the collision.

Edwardsville Police said the westbound Ford, identified as unit 1, swerved into a black Ford pickup truck, identified as unit 2, that was also traveling westbound and was in the turn lane for the EHS sports complex. Unit 2 was struck on the rear bumper.

The driver of unit 1 complained of injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to an area hospital for further evaluation, according to police.

Edwardsville Police said the driver showed signs of impairment.

A passenger in unit 2 complained of injuries that were not life-threatening but declined transport.

Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Unit 2 was drivable.
