Local Nonprofit Hosts Community Pop-Up with Free Clothes, Meals and More

EDWARDSVILLE/GRANITE CITY - Free clothing, food, toys and more are available this weekend in Edwardsville.

From 1–3 p.m. on June 27, 2026, at the Cardinal Portable Buildings in Edwardsville, community members can enjoy a meal and DJ while also picking up free clothing, shoes, toys and other supplies. Hosted by Wolf Pack Den of Hope, the community pop-up giveaway is for anyone who needs a hand up this summer, no questions asked.

“It’s for anyone that’s trying to get through this week,” said Amanda Wolf, founder of Wolf Pack Den of Hope. “It just brings me so much joy.”

Wolf emphasized that there are no requirements. She understands there’s “a lot of shame and guilt around asking for help,” but she believes everyone should have access to what they need with dignity.

“If you need a helping hand, we’re here to help,” she said. “Everyone struggles, and I think everyone deserves a little bit of dignity. I don’t need to see your electric bill or your ID. I just want to make sure everyone has what they need, the basic human necessities.”

She added that the giveaway is perfect for people experiencing homelessness, but also available for the families whose child had a growth spurt overnight, professionals prepping for a job interview, seniors living on fixed incomes, anyone facing a bit of hardship who could benefit from these items. Wolf understands that prices are high, and she hopes anyone who could use the help will come out.

Wolf Pack Den of Hope started as a resale business before transitioning into a nonprofit. They host monthly giveaways throughout the community and usually welcome at least 300 people. They also have a resale shop in Granite City where all proceeds are donated back toward their giveaways.

Wolf shared that the goal is to help others, but she also gains a lot from giving back. She is open about her “horrible childhood” and wants to help other families avoid the hardships she faced. She remembers being the child who was bullied for having “raggedy” clothes, and it’s important to her to help other kids have what they need to feel comfortable, happy and supported.

“The kids get so excited about clothing, and that’s not something kids should have to worry about,” she said. “I think that it heals a little girl inside of me a little bit, knowing that I’m helping…It just brings an overwhelming sense of joy.”

Wolf added that community members can help by donating or volunteering. She noted that they get “an overwhelming amount of clothing donations,” but they’re lacking in nonperishable food items. They also hope to give away school supplies as the school year approaches.

They could also use more volunteers, especially during the community giveaways. They need people to help set up the giveaways and sort donations. If you’d like to donate or volunteer, you can email Wolf at wolfpackdenofhope@gmail.com.

“I feel like everyone deserves dignity and respect,” Wolf added. “When you come to these giveaways, it’s nonjudgmental. No one’s looking at you sideways. Everyone is genuinely there just to help.”
