“As we celebrate Pride Month, I am honored to stand with Illinois’ LGBTQ+ community, as we work together to ensure Illinois remains a state where everyone is welcomed and protected. I’m thrilled to be back at Chicago’s annual Pride Parade,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “While Trump and MAGA extremists roll back LGBTQ+ protections nationwide, I am fighting to protect everyone’s rights and ensure Illinois continues to be an inclusive place for all.”
"I’m so proud to join Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community at this year’s Chicago Pride Parade. From my first day in elected office, I've stood with the LGBTQ+ community. When marriage equality came before the Illinois House, I was the first African American State Rep. to co-sponsor the bill — and that commitment has never wavered,” said lieutenant governor candidate Christian Mitchell. “With JB Pritzker, we have a fearless, lifelong ally, and I'm honored to join him in the fight to ensure Illinois remains a beacon for LGBTQ+ rights."
