Raelynn Sievers earns top female honor at State Tournament; Carson Sievers wins HOA after perfect 100 straight targets.

BUNKER HILL — Raelynn Seivers and Carson Seivers led several athletes from the Golden Eagle Youth Trap Team, who matched or surpassed their personal best scores and recorded multiple 25-straight rounds during the Illinois State High School Clay Target League 2A Trap Tournament recently at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill.

Among the team’s top finishers, Raelynn Sievers was named High Varsity Female in Conference 2. Carson Sievers earned HOA, or High Overall, and High Varsity Male honors after shooting 100 straight targets and winning the championship in a shoot-off.

The tournament brought together competitors in the Illinois State High School Clay Target League’s 2A division, where Golden Eagle athletes turned in a strong performance.

The Golden Eagle Youth Trap Team coaches praised the group’s effort in a statement.

“Great job to all of our shooters on a fantastic season and a strong showing at the state tournament,” the coaches said. “We are proud of your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship!”
