Humid Thursday Brings Storm Risk, Flooding Downpours Possible

Thursday starts mostly cloudy and muggy, with temperatures in the low 70s and light ESE wind around 2 mph. It already feels like the upper 70s early, so the day gets a sticky start.

By afternoon, expect a mix of clouds and sun as the temperature climbs to a high near 89. South-southwest wind stays light at about 8 mph, with gusts up to 16 mph. A heavy thunderstorm could develop later in the day, and rain chances rise to 56 percent. If storms form, they may bring flooding downpours, hail and damaging wind gusts.
