Local Lebanon Athlete Ivana Milkova Selected for USTA Coaching Serving All: Aspiring Coaches Powered by WeCOACH

ORLANDO — USTA Coaching and WeCOACH have selected Ivana Milkova of Lebanon as one of 30 nationwide participants to take part in the initiative USTA CoachingServing All: Aspiring Coaches powered by WeCOACH, one of the organizations’ shared efforts to create more pathways for women in tennis coaching.

The Aspiring Coaches powered by WeCOACH program is designed to support collegiate women tennis players entering the tennis coaching profession, and provide aspiring coaches with practical tools, reflective learning opportunities and ongoing professional support.

Lebanon resident Ivana Milkova is a student-athlete at McKendree University who is preparing to turn a lifelong passion for tennis into a career in coaching. Having played the sport for 15 years, Milkova gained coaching experience working with both junior and senior players before coming to the United States to compete collegiately. As co-captain of McKendree's women's tennis team, she has continued to develop her leadership and communication skills and is eager to help the next generation of athletes grow through the game.

As part of Serving All: Aspiring Coaches powered by WeCOACH, future coach Ivana Milkova will participate in a five-session virtual program and attend a landmark in-person leadership event held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla, designed to provide them with the education, support and professional network needed to confidently pursue a career in coaching and help shape the future of tennis.

In addition to the program, USTA Coaching will provide Ivana Milkova with a complimentary WeCOACH membership. The membership provides direct access to WeCOACH’s professional development platform and resources that support continuous learning and leadership development programming.

“Creating meaningful pathways for women to enter and thrive in coaching starts with supporting those who are eager to lead,” said Megan Rose, Managing Director of USTA Coaching. “These 30 participants have shown a clear commitment to tennis and to the impact coaches can have on players and communities. Together with WeCOACH, we are proud to provide the resources, education and support to help them take the next step in their coaching journeys.”
