Warm, Humid Weekend Ahead With Spotty Storm Chances

Fog, heat and muggy conditions will dominate the weekend, with occasional thunderstorm chances and some possible haze from wildfire smoke.

Friday starts with fog and muggy air, with temperatures in the low 70s and visibility reduced in spots. By afternoon, partial sunshine will push the temperature up to a high near 89, and it will feel closer to 101. A spotty thunderstorm may pop up, with rain chances around 55 percent and west winds near 8 mph, gusting to about 18 mph. Early Friday evening still carries a chance for a thunderstorm before skies stay mostly cloudy overnight. The low will settle near 73 by late night.

Friday’s allergy levels look low overall. Grass, mold, ragweed and tree pollen are all in the low range.

Saturday brings more sunshine and another humid day. Look for a high near 91 and a low around 74, with mostly sunny skies, a light west wind and just a small chance of rain.

Sunday stays hot and humid with a high near 90 and a low around 70. Most of the day looks mostly sunny, but a thunderstorm could develop in the afternoon. Air quality may slip a bit because of wildfire smoke, which could make the sky look hazy at times.
