“This Year’s Summer Road-Trip Program Has Been On A Mission To Redefine Summer Break For Local Youth,” the announcement said.
The program is designed to move children away from screens and toward in-person activities, according to the announcement. Organizers said the initiative offers “a safe, vibrant space to beat the mid-summer heat, crush some goals on the rink, and make memories that outlast the season.”
The skating trip is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at Skateway Roller Skating Rink. The announcement said limited seats are available for the next youth road trip.
Brown and Perry were described in the announcement as “keeping the momentum alive” for what it called “Alton’s favorite youth tradition.”
