By afternoon, clouds hold on and a couple of showers move in around midday, with a high near 77. Rain chances climb through the day, and winds shift to the south-southwest around 6 mph with gusts near 8 mph. Friday evening stays cloudy with scattered showers still around. Overnight remains damp at times with a few more showers possible and a low near 66 as light south-southeast winds continue.

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect from Sunday morning through Tuesday evening. Heat index values could reach 110, so the bigger heat concern arrives later in the weekend and early next week.
