"The City of Alton chose Just FOIA to help streamline their citizens' open records request process and improve efficiencies within,” said Lauren Wilson, Alton City Clerk and FOIA Officer at the City of Alton. “By implementing this solution, my priority is to provide the public with efficient, transparent, and accessible government services.”
Public records request submissions online with a secure portal will allow members of the public to accomplish the following:
• Create an Account
• Submit Requests Anonymously.
• Track the Status of Your Requests.
• Make Payments Online
• Receive Records in a Central Location.
“This new FOIA platform modernizes the way we process public records requests, making it easier for residents to submit requests, track their progress, and receive responsive communication throughout the process,” Wilson said.
“By improving efficiency and strengthening our records management practices, we are reinforcing the city's commitment to open government, accountability, and exceptional public service.” If you would like to submit a request, the online request form is available at https://cityofaltonil.justfoia.com/publicportal/home/newrequest.
