Alton Student-Athletes Seek Community Support at Upcoming Fundraisers

ALTON - Community members can help Alton athletes while enjoying a pancake breakfast and a car wash.

Starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, the Alton High School football players will host a “Pancakes with Players” breakfast at the Alton High School Athletic Field. You can purchase either a short stack for $2 or a pancakes-with-breakfast-scramble combo for $12. There are also juices and homemade sweet tea available for purchase. All proceeds go to the high school football team.

On their Facebook page, the Alton Athletic Association encouraged community members to start their morning at the pancake breakfast before heading to the Alton High School parking lot for a car wash that benefits the girls’ tennis team. From 9–11 a.m. on Aug. 1, you can get your car washed for only $10.

“Start your morning with a delicious Pancakes with the Players breakfast, then head over and let the Alton High Tennis Team make your ride shine!” the Alton Athletic Association said. “Support two outstanding Redbird programs in one morning while enjoying a great breakfast and leaving with a sparkling clean vehicle. Your support helps provide opportunities for our student-athletes and strengthens the Redbird community.”

Players from both the tennis and football teams will benefit from the community’s support this Saturday. They will also accept donations, and you can visit the official Alton Athletic Association Facebook page for more information about how to donate toward these programs.
