Man Seriously Hurt After Missouri 367 Crash

While the St. Louis driver was seriously injured, the 63-year-old East Alton man in the Buick was wearing a safety device and escaped with lesser injuries.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY - A 31-year-old St. Louis man was seriously injured Sunday night, Aug. 2, 2026, in a two-vehicle crash on southbound Missouri 367 north of Chambers Road in St. Louis County after Moline Acres Police attempted a traffic stop, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 2, 2026, and was investigated by Trooper D. Bittick. The report said Moline Acres police attempted to stop a 2013 Chevrolet Spark after observing it being driven with a flat tire and no headlights on.

According to the report, the Chevrolet crossed the center of the roadway, traveled the wrong way, and came to a stop. The front of a 2003 Buick LeSabre then struck the front of the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 31-year-old man from St. Louis, suffered serious injuries. The report said he was not using a safety device and was ejected. He was transported by Christian Hospital EMS to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

The driver of the Buick, a 63-year-old man from East Alton, Illinois, suffered minor injuries, according to the report. He was using a safety device and also was transported by Christian Hospital EMS to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

The Chevrolet was listed as a total loss, and the Buick sustained moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed by A2B Towing.

The patrol report said Moline Acres police assisted at the scene, along with Sgt. D. Bilyeu and Cpl. C. Knox.
