EverCare Opens New Location in Jerseyville

JERSEYVILLE - Evercare marked the grand opening of its newest location in Jerseyville with the launch of a modern care center at 410 Fletcher St. that will offer short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care in the community.

The new facility expands Evercare’s presence in the region and is intended to address a need for elder care in the area, according to Michael Irey, vice president of business development. The center also includes a rapid rehabilitation program.

Irey said there was "a need for elder care in the area we wanted to expand our footprint and add on a rapid rehab program."

He said the Jerseyville location fits the company’s approach because of its community atmosphere.

"We love the hometown feel of Evercare," Irey said. "The approach is very family-oriented. The mission is to support patients and families."

Irey said the rehabilitation program involved extensive upgrades to the facility.

"We have been developing a rapid rehabilitation program, gutting flooring, rebuilding walls, all new equipment for rehab, and to see all moving parts to come together," Irey said. "It is nice to celebrate with the nurses, clinical team and administrators and see all the happy faces. We will continue to expand."

Evercare said it is continuing to improve the Jerseyville facility and its care. Irey said the center also serves short-term patients and highlighted its wound care and quality measures.

"Our quality metrics are the best around," he said.

The company said the facility is designed to offer a home-like environment and that its skilled team provides nursing, rehabilitation and supportive services.
