Woman Wounded In Fairview Heights Motel Shooting
Police say a female victim was shot at the Trailway Motel and taken to a local hospital as investigators continue working the case.
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS - Fairview Heights Police are investigating a shooting that wounded a female victim Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2026, at the Trailway Motel in Fairview Heights.

The Fairview Heights Police Department said the shooting occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026.
Police said the victim sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
Investigators have identified a suspect in connection with the shooting and are working to locate him in Missouri with assistance from additional law enforcement agencies, according to police. Police did not elaborate at this point on what led to the motel shooting.
The department said the investigation remains active.
