Edwardsville Children’s Museum Launches Little Sprouts Farm Capital Campaign
New farm exhibit will provide hands-on learning around growing good things together.
EDWARDSVILLE – Agriculture helped grow Madison County into the thriving community it is today. To honor our local farmers who continue to cultivate this legacy, Edwardsville Children’s Museum (ECM) is excited to announce that its newest exhibit, Little Sprouts Farm, an interactive farm-themed playspace, is ready to take root.

At Little Sprouts Farm, kids can engage in hands-on, imaginative play. Mini-farmers will have the chance to “milk” a cow, gather eggs from a chicken coop, move hay bales from the tractor to the barn, and care for a mama pig and her piglets – all to gain a deeper understanding of the hard work that goes into feeding a community. Thanks to a generous donation from Dieterich Bank, the child-sized barn is now place, but additional support is needed for the farm-based exhibits.
To bring Little SproutsFarm to life, ECM is launching the Growing Good Things Together capital campaign. Donors who contribute at one of four giving levels – Sunflower Circle ($5,000), Heartfelt Harvest ($2,500), Root Growers ($1,000), and Seed Starters ($500) – will be honored on a permanent garden-themed recognition mural inside the new barn.
“Little Sprouts Farm will be one of our most significant expansions to date,” said Kristen Fries, ECM executive director. “With the community’s help, we can create something truly incredible. Every gift, at every level will help us build a place where children can dig in, dream big, and discover the joy of growing good things together.”
